Special Adviser to the Welsh Government on Housing, Local Government and the Welsh Language.
I’m an experienced Labour campaigner, who has led as a candidate and organised campaigns. I’m a fluent Welsh speaker, used to giving media interviews, writing documents and giving presentations. I have extensive experience as a public servant, making a difference to people’s lives: as a Labour & Co-operative councillor, as a senior officer in local government in England and as Chief Executive of North Wales Police Authority. From 2015 – 2025 I served as Chief Executive of an advice charity based in Bangor. As the cost of living crisis developed I saw how tough it has been for ordinary people, doing their best to support their families. We are at our strongest when we focus on the purpose for which the Labour Party was founded: improving the lives of ordinary people.
I’m a member of the Co-operative Party and support co-operative principles. A committed trade unionist, I served on my union’s young members committee and ensured trade union recognition at the charity I managed.
From 2023 to 2025 I sat on the board of a local housing association, building new social rented homes across North Wales.
I am a fluent Welsh speaker and happy to communicate in Welsh or English.
